Bringing more peace of mind to Kohlfirst Care Centre with the KeyCars

«Hygiene is a key priority for us, and we take it very seriously, especially in times of norovirus or COVID,» she explains. «We carry out all routine, interim and deep cleaning ourselves. That requires clear processes and reliable solutions.»

The initiative came from the team

The idea of introducing new cleaning trolleys did not originate at a desk but through discussions with employees. An internal survey revealed that the existing trolleys no longer met operational requirements.

«Our old trolleys were open and no longer up to date. Particularly when working with residents living with dementia, challenging situations could arise,» she explains. «The request for modern, enclosed solutions came directly from the team.»

During the evaluation process, the care centre assessed several suppliers. In the end, the deciding factors were functionality, quality and consultation. «Wetrok was the only supplier that met all of our criteria,» says the Head of Housekeeping. «And the quality of the consultation was a key factor for us.»She particularly highlights the collaboration with Wetrok’s field sales team: «Ms Huber took a great deal of time to understand our requirements in detail and gave us an honest assessment of what was possible and what was not. That transparency creates trust.»

The process itself also remains a positive memory, from the personal product demonstration in Kloten through to the delivery of the six new KeyCars.

The KeyCars are now firmly integrated into daily operations and provide noticeable relief.

«In the past, our employees had to make additional trips to the storeroom to collect materials. Or they had to place the trolley in a room and lock it whenever they needed to go somewhere else or take a break. That interrupted the workflow,» explains Angela Costantino. «Now everything is compactly integrated into the trolley. It saves time and simplifies processes enormously.»

The KeyCars also impress in terms of functionality: Enclosed systems protect materials, intelligently designed internal compartments keep everything organised, and robust components withstand the demands of everyday use.

«The trolleys are extremely sturdy. Doors and drawers function reliably even with daily use,» says Angela Costantino. «And everything is exactly where it is needed and has its designated place.»

Well received by the team

The fact that the KeyCars have become a natural part of daily operations is, for Angela Costantino, proof that the decision was the right one.

The ergonomic features and the ability to transport and lock materials directly within the trolley are particularly appreciated: «Especially in our protected residential units, it is important that cleaning agents and materials are not freely accessible,» explains Angela Costantino. «With the KeyCars, we have found a solution that combines safety and functionality perfectly.»

The KeyCars also make a positive visual statement. Customised with a butterfly design, they blend harmoniously into the overall environment. «The appearance of the trolleys has improved significantly. There is no need to hide them away – quite the opposite.»

An investment that delivers results

For the Kohlfirst Care Centre, the decision has paid off on several levels.
